Unusual granulomas of the skin seen in Lebanon

Two of the cases reported were fungal infections. One was a case of presumed systemic candidosis in a man with chronic myelogenous leukaemia. Amphotericin B was given but had to be stopped because of side effects and the patient died. The 2nd case, in a Lebanese farmer who was born in Brazil but had remained in Lebanon for the past 20 yr, was diagnosed histologically as N. American blastomycosis.
