Dalargin in the therapy of the exacerbations of chronic pancreatitis

Data on endogenous opioid-induced inhibition of pancreatic secretion were the reasons for analyzing the effect of dalargin on pancreatic secretion. Administration of dalargin during 5 days in patients with exacerbation of chronic pancreastitis facilitated a decrease in the manifestatioin of hyperamylasemia and hypertrypsinemia. Improved clinical parameters were observed as well. Some positive effects of dalargin administration on the dynamics disturbance of esophagogastroduodenal motor activity were described. The use of dalargin made it possible to decrease cholecystokinin incretion. The preparation did not affect gastrin, insulin, C-peptide, and glucagon concentrations in the blood. Recommendations were made for using dalargin to treat exacerbations of chronic pancreatitis.
