The purpose of this study was to determine whether Neocate (an elemental infant formula) is safe for use with children with cow milk allergy. Neocate was found to have not detectable protein; no child reacted in the blinded or open food challenges to Neocate. It appears that this product is "hypoallergenic" and well tolerated by children with allergies to cow milk.
