Multiregional population projection and urbanization momentum: with application to reproductive value

Some population projection models are derived for a multi-regional stable population system using methods developed by Andrei Rogers and Frans Willekens. These models assume either that regional fertility schedules are drastically reduced to bare replacement levels or that there is a less drastic change in fertility schedules. The models are illustrated with data for rural and urban areas of India.
