Data were presented on the features of the dynamics of the parameters of external respiration. The parameters were recorded in 6 essentially healthy men before the test, in the initial horizontal position, and 7 minutes after the transition to the vertical position in case of unsatisfactory tolerance for 20-min-long passive orthostatic load (the development of the first signs of collapse at the 18th minute). The probable association of these indices with the phenomena of hyperventilation, hypocapnia, general autonomic lability and blood circulation instability was discussed.
