Ultrafiltration is an important step in isolation and purification of pullulan. Here a new formula for ultrafilter calculation is derived from experiments about the relationship between the ultrafiltrate rate and the concentration of pullulan solution. It can be used for calculating and designing of ultrafilter under defined production scale and its related technical parameters.
