The diagnosis of intestinal obstruction caused by Meckel's diverticulum is difficult. The clinical evaluation of the condition is subacute, with painful bouts occurring over several years and puzzling the clinicians. As a first step, explorating laparotomy solves the problem. Two cases show how difficult this decision is. Celioscopic surgery may be chosen in the future.
