The Dominican Asociacion Pro Bienestar de la Familia started in the country's 7 provinces and in the National District its new project of community distribution of contraceptives. 8 selected people are in charge of informing, motivating and promoting contraception to new couples, and to supervise the workers who will distribute contraceptives in the various communities. It is hoped that there will be 12000 new acceptors by the end of the first year of the project.
