The case histories of 3 men with acquired immune deficiency syndrome, and who contracted scabies, are described. These cases were selected to illustrate the problems that Sarcoptes scabiei infestation may cause in immunocompromised persons. Recommendations for treatment are made, with a comment about the need for a high level of suspicion about any atypical rash in an immunocompromised patient.
