The article contains the results of research in the productive function of women in the Ararat region of Armenia. The research technique was based on a questionnaire which included 81 items. The abnormal pregnancy rate in the areas of extensive use of chemical weed-killers and pest-killers reached 31.1% as compared with 22.0% in the areas of a moderate application of insecticides and pesticides. It was established that the percentage of abnormal pregnancies increased with consecutive pregnancies' growth. A comparison was made between 1-5 and 10th pregnancy terminations, in the result of which it was established that: consecutive pregnancies growth correlated with live-births' decrease, which apparently was a consequence of a greater number of therapeutic abortions, whereas the perinatal infant death rate also decreased, high infant death rate before and after the first year of life was revealed in first pregnancies and diminished in consecutive pregnancies, spontaneous and early abortions rates were stable irrespective of the number of consecutive pregnancies.
