The study of budded trees of the principal Hevea clones has been continued, marked differences in yield and vigour of growth being noted, as well as in respect of secondary characters. Observations on estates indicate that soil conditions may have a considerable influence on the development of different clones, though some clones are more widely adaptable than others. The relationship between stock and scion is being studied.
