Results are reported of a study of the incretory function in 156 patients with acute intestinal infections. The incretory pancreatic function was found to be deranged in most patients in the acute period and tended to slow restoration during convalescence. This indicates the necessity of perfecting pathogenetic treatment of these patients and clinico-laboratory follow-up of patients with a history of acute intestinal infection with consideration of the incretory pancreatic function.
