Characteristics of reassociation of DNA in polytene chromosome preparations of malaria mosquito

Analysis of DNA reassociation in polytene chromosome preparations of malarial mosquito is presented. It was shown that reassociation of highly repeated DNA sequences takes place during the first two hours. Then, middle repeated DNA sequences are reassociating at the third hour. Reassociation of different DNA sequences is going during the fourth and fifth hours.
