A new species of amphipod crustacean of the genus Neoischyrocerus of the family Ischyroceridae is herein described. The main diferences among Neoischyrocerus vidali new species and the blown species of the genus, are also given. This is the first record of the genus Ne- olschyrocerus for the Caribbean Sea, as well as, for the Cuban waters.
