A system of pathogenetically-based measures for prevention and correction of side effects and complications provoked by psychotropic drugs has been developed. On introduction into clinical practice it brought about complete elimination of complications on the part of the eyes, the lowering of the rate of side effects and enlargement of therapeutic potentialities of psychiatrists in the treatment of patients with associated mental and ophthalmological pathologies.
