Caseous lymphadentis in a herd of goats in Buckinghamshire, UK was diagnosed following the isolation of Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis (C. ovis) from skin abscesses. Suspect goats and in-contact goats on a further 9 premises were under movement restriction. The outbreak is believed to be associated with imported goats. This is the first report of the disease in the UK.
