Chronic maxillary sinus abscessation in the canine

A year-old female Labrador retriever was examined because of recurrent right maxillary sinus abscessation. The patient responded to amoxicillin therapy. Abscessation recurred on cessation of antibiotic treatment. The right maxillary fourth premolar tooth had a slab fracture exposing the endodontic system. Treatment including exposure of pulp chamber and filling of root canals is described.
