Skin-fold thickness at the triceps and scapular sites was estimated in 1049 Nigerian subjects of ages 10 to 105 years. In all age groups skin-fold thickness was greater in females than in males. With increasing age both men and women became fatter and the increase in adiposity of men with age occurred more appreciably over the trunk than the limbs.
