Hemorrhagic anemia in a newborn is often heralded by some history or clinical findings that allow time to anticipate and prepare for the infant. This article describes the unexpected delivery of an anemic baby and reviews the diagnosis and management of spontaneous fetomaternal hemorrhage in an infant.
