Medico-ecological approaches are formulated to elaborate preventive measures against adverse effects of the anthropogenically changed hydrological situation. The cause-effect relationships between the aquatic factor transformation and changes in the sanitary living conditions and people's health status are overviewed. The fundamentals of the medico-ecological approach to the prognosis of changes are expounded.
