Ambulatory care and treatment of children with rheumatoid uveitis

The paper presents data on dispensarization and out-patient treatment of 43 children with rheumatoid uveitis. Thanks to a well-composed system of observation over the patients and their corresponding treatment, including antirecurrent therapy, under control of immunologic investigations stabilization of the process was achieved in 17 children, improvement of clinical state of the eye and its visual functions--in 10 persons. All children with rheumatoid uveitis require dispensarization under constant control of the oculist and rheumatologist, this allowing to decrease the number of complications of the process, to decide on optimal terms for surgical treatment of the seguelae of the disease and to conduct corresponding pathogenetic therapy.
