Small skin surgery in children: skin analgesia with a cream made of lidocaine and prilocaine

The problems arising daily in the management of many skin diseases as the removal of warts, molluscum contagiosum, etc. are often complicated simply by the fear of the pain of some treatment modalities (i.e., cryosurgery, curettage, etc.). A choice between no analgesia and analgesia by the classic percutaneous infiltration with local anaesthetics is sometimes difficult. A new lidocaine/prilocaine cream provides us an effective local anaesthesia for such treatments.
