The authors describe the tactics of using antibiotics in out-patient conditions. In acute bacterial infection the most adapted to the pathogen and infections focus antibiotic is used. The problem of indication to antibiotic therapy is discussed. Of importance is avoidance of the development of resistant strains. Monotherapy with antibiotics of selective narrow spectrum is advocated. The local use of antibiotics is to be avoided.
