Regarding the high carcinogenic potential of asbestos fibres and the mostly inhalative exposition, the question is investigated whether tumors of the inner nose and the paranasal sinuses can be induced by asbestos. Literature contains no communications on this subject. Three cases of tumors of the inner nose and the paranasal sinuses are presented which are connected with an exposition to asbestos. These cases cannot be recognized according to jurisdiction and the valid Ordinance on Occupational Diseases, because the correlations are not scientifically proved in a sufficient manner. Attention shall be drawn on this problem in order to realize possible further cases.
