Photoaxiography for transverse horizontal axis location

An imaging system for recording the transverse horizontal axis of the mandible using an optical recorder, called the photoaxiograph is described. The technique employs a multistylus system based on McLean's Axometer Grid concept. A metal grid, ultraviolet light-sensitive film, and an ultraviolet light source are used in place of conventional techniques. The photoaxiograph is fast, accurate, adaptable to existing systems, and easy to use.
