The cephalogram of 110 volunteer Nigerians aged 11 - 26 years were traced in order to establish a cephalometric norm for overjet values in Nigerians. The study showed that overjet value for the sample ranged from -3 to +8 mm. The calculated mean overjet for the sample was 2.61 + 1.60. II was discovered that the biologic norm for overjet value is between 2-3 mm.
