Three rare cases of arachnoid cysts

Three rare cases of arachnoid cysts are presented. In two of the cases, bilateral Sylvian fissure cysts were present and in the third case, an unilateral Sylvian fissure cyst was present, along with bilateral subdural collections. The presence of bilateral Sylvian fissure arachnoid cysts or bilateral non-traumatic subdural collections in a patient with an unilateral arachnoid cyst is considered very rare and supports significantly the theory of congenital etiopathogenesis of arachnoid cysts.
