Blood samples were obtained over a 131/2-month period from each of 6 Rhon and 6 Merino-Landschaf (ML) ewes, and progesterone profiles were estimated. The number of days of anoestrus was higher in Rhon than in ML ewes, and the amplitude of progesterone concentration in Rhon ewes was greater than in MLs, but 3 Rhon ewes could be classified as aseasonally polyoestrous. Data are given in graphs.
