Almost every year the "Friends of Cologne Zoo" make a guided travel tour to an interesting area in the world. The author and tour guide of the tour to Uganda in 2005 gives information about Uganda and its fauna. For some of the most interesting animals such as hippos, chimpanzees, gorillas or shoebills he gives a short description of their behaviour, their status, and about the observation made during this trip.
