Apocrine cell carcinoma of the breast-cytopathology and ultrastructural appearance in fine needle aspirates

Fince needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) of the breast was done in 645 patients with breast carcinoma. In four cases apocrine cell carcinoma of the breast was suspected in material obtained by fine needle aspiration which was later confirmed by histopathologic examination. In one case material obtained by FNAC was processed for ultrastructural examination and the ultrastructural findings are discussed.
