The authors recall their experience about 150 cases of subcutaneous pedicle flap for surgical facial defects. Four patterns of flap are described: Axial pattern flaps, Island flaps and Penisular flaps. Randon pattern flaps with the "seated" flap and the "sliding" flap. Myocutaneous flaps. Fasciocutaneous flaps. Although their blood supplies are very different, these present certain advantages in common easy design easy closing of donor site, no distorsions and no retractions. The results obtained in all facial anatomic units are presented and the best indications of each pattern are discussed.
