Retrospective study of hemangioma of the liver in our department of surgery

With the development of graphic examinations, such as computerized tomography, ultrasonography and coeliac angiography, asymptomatic hemangiomas of the liver have been demonstrated. Recently ten hemangiomas of the liver were found in our department of surgery. Two were resected and eight were followed. Resection of hemangioma of the liver is now recommended since spontaneous rupture may occur the size of the tumor is 4 cm or more in diameter.
