Adenotomy in the combined treatment of acute maxillary sinusitis in children

Clinical and morphological rationale is presented for adenotomy as a primary stage in the treatment scheme designed for pediatric patients with adenoids combined with acute maxillary sinusitis which consequently runs an asymptomatic course or manifests with minor symptoms overwhelmed by those of adenoiditis. With adenotomy being the primary treatment, the outcome of the sinuses inflammation appeared more favorable.
