Congenital patellar luxation in the cat

Two littermate British shorthaired cats (one male, one female) with congenital bilateral patellar luxation and, in the male, a deformed thorax, were twice allowed to mate. The two litters, of 3 and 4 kittens, were free from patellar luxation, though one kitten in each litter died. Radiographs of the two cats are presented.
