Neuroradiologic appearance of cystic meningiomas

The computed tomographic (CT) and the angiographic appearance of cystic meningiomas are described. A study of 23 cases and a review of the literature have shown that the neuroradiological diagnosis of cystic meningiomas can be difficult. In fact CT diagnosis was possible in 38.8% of the cases and angiographic diagnosis in nearly 13%. CT and angiographic features useful for a correct diagnosis are also discussed.
