We present 15 patients (10 women and 5 men) with ureterocele. Two patients (1 man and 1 woman) had bilateral involvement. Patient age ranged from 21 to 58 years. Of the 17 renal units affected, 12 were right and 5 left. A "smiling mouth" endoscopic incision was done in 12 cases with lithiasis and 2 cases without lithiasis but with kidney involvement. In one case, resection of the ureterocele and ureteral reimplantation were performed by open surgery. In 2 cases with no lithasis or renal involvement, no surgical procedure was performed. None of the 14 ureteroceles that underwent endoscopic incision showed vesicocureteral reflux on the control cystogram.
