Cellular immunity parameters, as well as hematological and clinical characteristics were studied in 14 patients with chronic lymphoid leukemia during administration of T-activin. Two schedules of drug administration were tested. The schedule effectiveness was assessed on the basis of the dynamics of immunological parameters with regard to the clinical values. Positive clinical effects (diminution of the lymph node size, some decrease of the liver and spleen size) were recorded in 63.6% of the patients. Positive dynamics of immunological parameters was observed in 77% of the patients: increase in the number of E-RFC (T-cells), decrease in the count of B-cells carrying surface immunoglobulins. The effect of T-activin had a dynamic character, and it was levelled after the drug abolition and retained during 3-4 months since the beginning of the agent administration. Long-term administration of T-activin (in courses) resulted in stabilization of the process, reduced the frequency and severity of complications. When administering the drug, the stage of the disease and the initial phenotype of the patient should be taken into consideration.
