The sprinkling of agricultural and horticultural plants requires the satisfaction of defined quality requirements to the sprinkling water. For ensuring a sufficient provision of water the construction of stores (dams) is necessary especially in Thuringia, which at the same time induces the self-cleaning of the water in biological and hygienic respect. This finding is proved by means of the results of differentiated examinations in four stores.
