The total phospholipid (TPL) concentration in lung and amniotic fluid of chick increases with the advancement of incubation period. A positive correlation (r = 0.77) exists between the lung and amniotic fluid phospholipids. Highest values of TPL was observed at the end of incubation period. Interestingly, in few samples of both lung and amniotic fluid, low concentrations of TPL were also observed.
