Pronounced dumping symptoms following operation for peptic ulceration resulted i a condition of chronic undernutrition in a female patient. As the usual measures were without effect, the patient was treated with supplementary parenteral nutrition during hospitalization. Enteral nutrition was instituted in hospital and continued as an outpatient. The general condition of the patient improved markedly as a result of this form of treatment. Treatment is now controlled by the patient herself and only few outpatient control visits are necessary. The practical problems in connection with tube feeding at home could be solved. The possibility of aspiration made nocturnal administration unsuitable.
