Extramedullary plasmacytoma of the trachea--a surgical case and review of the literature

A case of extramedurallary plasmacytoma of the trachea was reported. The patient, 62-year-old male was referred to our hospital because of tracheal tumor for LASER surgery. By bronchoscopy three lesions were found at uppper trachea and bifurcation and punch biopsy revealed plasmacytoma and no other lesion was detected. LASER surgery, tracheoplasty and enucleation of tumor were performed. Postoperative course was uneventful, also he was treated with postoperative Co radiation. On the basis of reported cases, clinical feature and treatment were discussed.
