After an introduction on the pathogenesis of Bartter's syndrome, the Authors report the case of a girl and how they came to the diagnosis. Besides, the direct blood-relations were investigated and the clinical and biohumoral picture was found to be similar in the girl's mother and one of her brothers. The case is very interesting in that it shows various members of the same family suffering from Bartter's syndrome. These data suggest further studies on this subject, particularly regarding the family of a subject suffering from hypokalemia.
