Ofloxacin (Tariyide) was tested for tolerance, effectiveness and symptom relief in patients following dental surgery. Ten types of surgery were examined: operative wisdom tooth extraction, osteotomy, apicoectomy, apicoectomy with grafting, cystostomy, revision with sequestrectomy, vestibuloplasty, extraction in cases of inflammation, cleaning in cases of active inflammation, and incision of submucous abscesses. The gyrase inhibitor of loxacin had very good results. Its excellent clinical effectiveness was demonstrated by a relief of symptoms usually achieved within 2 days.
