Six cases of hemolytic disease of the newborn due to maternal irregular antibodies are reported. Three cases were due to anti-E, one due to anti-c and twins due to anti-JKb. All cases, except one case due to anti-E, required exchange transfusion. The causative antibodies were most likely immune in nature as all five mothers had had previous pregnancies.
