Organo-tin compounds are used internationally as stabilizers for PVC materials in increasing extent. On account of the toxicity of these stabilizers their application is regulated by law. Within the present paper the contents of the PVC packing materials, used in Cuba, of tin-organic stabilizers is determined and the migrating behaviour in model systems and selected food-stuffs is examined. The obtained results allow the conclusion that the PVC material, available in Cuba, is suitable for packing of food like soya-sauce, sun-flower oil, vinegar and citrus juices.
