An 18-year-old girl with diabetes mellitus, delayed growth and sexual development, and hypothalamic hypothyroidism, is presentd. Attention is called to the need for evaluation of thyroid function in children with diabetes who demonstrate growth problems, even in the absence of overt signs of hypothyroidism or goiter.
