Breast cancer pre-screening by a specially trained health worker

A health worker who was given special training carried out the physical examination of mamma in 14,500 cases, joined to the X-ray screenings. Of the 90 cases sent to medical control 22 cancers, 1 severe dysplasia and 13 benign alterations were detected. Health workers selected with appropriate care and trained specially are able to contribute.sbd.as pre-examiners.sbd.to the recognition of breast cancer at an earlier stage and consequently to the improvement of prognostic outlook. It is suggested to introduce to pre-check examination in the whole country.
