Chronic juvenile arthritis are non-suppurative chronic inflammatory diseases of unknown etiology. affecting especially the articular connective structures and connective tissue in the structure of a great number of extraarticular organs. Extraarticular inflammatory manifestations appear especially in the systemic forms of CJA .sbd. Still disease. The pathogenic substrate of these extraarticular inflammatory manifestations is not yet known (a possible intervention of certain immunopathological mechanisms). Some of these extraarticular inflammatory manifestations (pericarditis, myocarditis) or the complications of chronic inflammation (generalized amyloidosis) are responsible for the severe lethal evolution of these systemic forms of CJA.
