Role of erythrocytes in the pathogenesis of disorders of hemostasis in bronchial asthma patients

A study of the cellular and plasma hemostasis in 60 patients with a mild, moderately severe and severe forms of infectious-allergic bronchial asthma has shown that all these patients develop the hypercoagulation syndrome which is underlain by an increased coagulative activity of erythrocytes, in addition to changes in the plasma-platelet links of hemostasis. The degree of these disorders is associated with severity of the patients' state. Increased hemolysis of erythrocytes is essential in the pathogenesis of hemostatic disorders.
