Evidence for the presence of luteinizing hormone releasing hormone (LHRH) in rats' milk and its transfer to suckling neonates is presented. Role of maternal LHRH in the neonate, site of production of milk LHRH and role of LHRH within the lactating mammary gland are discussed.
